How are commercially driven extension models developing in East and West Africa? What are the synergies between different models and what challenges do they face? How are they adapting to COVID-19?
This webinar will start with an overview of the value proposition for commercially driven agricultural extension services and their limitations, and then examine experiences from organisations who have been facilitating their development.
- The Kenya Markets Trust will present their experience stimulating lead agricultural input suppliers to develop extension models in Kenya while Gatsby Africa presents their experience with a new digital platform that brings together the extension system in Tanzania.
- The Nigerian PIND Foundation and the Market Development Project in the Niger Delta (MADE) will present their experiences developing local private extension provider models that have reached scale.
The webinar will last for one hour, including a chance for participants to ask questions and share their thoughts.
