Azman Ahmed Chowdhury is a practitioner of M4P approaches with experience spanning over 8 years. His academic qualification, combined with his experience enables him to assess challenges and explore workable and actionable solutions in the field of private sector development. He has developed his core competence in Partnerships and PSD in the area of M4P, enabling environment and local governance.
In his work experience Azman acquired profound understanding on inclusive market systems development, value chain analysis, and Public Private Partnership. His areas of interest is in developing Public Private Partnerships for sustainable growth. His pragmatic knowledge on 'DCED standards' and vast monitoring and result measurement (MRM) experience enables his expertise further. Azman's experience of working with the national and local government, especially in negotiating and convincing to adopt systemic changes, has resulted in positive impacts in agricultural extension in rural Bangladesh.
In his current position, he is managing a diversified portfolio of activity ranging from WASH, Climate Resilience Adaptive Livelihood, Participatory Market System linkage for small holder agribusiness. He has recently rolled out a Euro 5.6 Million WASH programme and awaiting result for an AUD 10 Million gender inclusive private sector linkage programme. He is also currently providing back-stopping support to a recently funded Euro 4 Million employment and market linkage project in the jute and allied sector
