Augustine Adongo is a development professional with more than 20 years of hands-on private sector development experience. He has held the roles of chief executive for an export business membership organization, consultant to the Ministry for Private Sector Development in Ghana, and he helped to design Ghana’s $547 million US Millennium Challenge Account Compact, leading on the agribusiness component.
Augustine also helped design Ghana’s first two private sector development strategies, and the country’s first local and regional economic development (LRED) strategy. He has consulted widely on private sector development for USAID, DFID, the World Bank, and GTZ/GIZ in Ghana. He is currently Team Leader for DFID’s Market Development (MADE) programme for Northern Ghana.
