Kim Titcombe

Whilst my academic background is that of an Economist, my current specialization has moved towards the field of Gender and Development, with a focus on Gender Equality and Women’s Economic Empowerment. I have a particular interest in gender in PSD and Gender in Infrastructure, treating gender as a cross-cutting theme to be incorporated in the entire development process in all sectors. Having worked in development for 25 years and Gender and Development for more than 10, I have come to recognize the increasing importance of data for informing evidence-based policy making in gender concerns, and hence, have strengthened my quantitative and qualitative statistical skills in data gathering and analysis.
