This webinar began with an overview of the value proposition for commercially driven agricultural extension services and their limitations, and then examined experiences from organisations who have been facilitating their development.
- The Kenya Markets Trust presented their experience stimulating lead agricultural input suppliers to develop extension models in Kenya while Gatsby Africa presented their experience with a new digital platform that brings together the extension system in Tanzania.
- The Nigerian PIND Foundation and the Market Development Project in the Niger Delta (MADE) presented their experiences developing local private extension provider models that have reached scale.
