Dear MiC colleagues,

I am writing to you asking for your help in participating and sharing a new
and important industry survey
<https: ftf_msp_covid_mitigation="" r="" www.surveymonkey.com="">.

We are conducting new research on how implementing partners ( NGOs,
Contractors, etc.) from the development (MSD, WASH, Education, Governance,
Health, etc.) and humanitarian assistance sectors can mitigate the impacts
of COVID-19 on their workforce.

This important research builds from the Canopy Lab’s earlier study (brief
<https: 08="" 2021="" brief.pdf="" thecanopylab.com="" uploads="" wp-content=""> and full
study <https: 08="" 2021="" full-study.pdf="" thecanopylab.com="" uploads="" wp-content="">)
examining the impact of COVID-19 on the talent pipeline of MSD
professionals funded by USAID Feed the Future Market Systems and
Partnerships Activities implemented by DAI.

For this research we need to hear from 1,000+ humanitarian and development
sector professionals (full time employees) from around the world so that
we can better understand how diversity within the industry-wide talent
pipeline can be safeguarded and/or revitalized in a COVID-19 and
post-COVID-19 working environment.

Reaching more than 1,000 employees of International development and
humanitarian assistance organizations will not be easy and I am asking for
your help.

Please note that, at this time, we are only seeking the responses from
full-time employees of NGOs and contractors.

Three easy ways you can help

1.

Complete the survey (it takes about 10 minutes)
2.

Ask 5 colleagues/peers to complete the survey
<https: ftf_msp_covid_mitigation="" r="" www.surveymonkey.com=""> (suggested
email introduction below) – in the past, we have found this to be the
most impactful way to get others to take the survey.
3.

Post on LinkedIn that you took the survey and tag me (Holly Krueger from
the Canopy Lab) and other international development and humanitarian
professionals.

Thank you again. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Please reach out if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Holly

Calling all employees of development and humanitarian assistance
organizations!.

USAID’s Feed the Future Market Systems and Partnerships (MSP) Activity
invites you to participate in a short and important industry survey
<https: ftf_msp_covid_mitigation="" r="" www.surveymonkey.com=""> on the impacts of
COVID-19 on development professionals and what employers can do to retain
and revitalize the

ambition of their talent pipeline.

Participating in this 10 minute survey
<https: ftf_msp_covid_mitigation="" r="" www.surveymonkey.com=""> will help us
understand how diverse full-time employees of implementing partners (INGOs,
NGOs, Private Contractors, etc.) in the international development and
humanitarian assistance industry are experiencing changes to their work
models since COVID-19 and the pandemic has affected their workplace needs
and priorities regarding employer offerings.

Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.

Finished the survey and what to do more? Here is how you can help!

1.

Send an email to 5 colleagues and ask them personally to complete the
survey (need inspiration for the email text - consider using the intro
provided by the person who emailed you this survey– in the past, we have
found this to be the most impactful way to get others to take the survey.
2.

Post on LinkedIn that you took the survey and tag Holly Krueger from the
Canopy Lab as well as other international development and humanitarian
assistance professionals you think should participate in the survey.
