Hi Roger,

I would check out Mercy Corps Lebanon's INTAJ project (https://reliefweb.int/updates?search=INTAJ). It was municipality vs a school specific focus but there's some interesting learning and evidence papers on solid waste management and recycling and youth engagement.

Cheers,
Sarah

Hi Roger,

This is not exactly what you're after, but I know that Oxfam developed a market-based recycling program in Zaatari Camp in Jordan back in 2015-16. There may be some relevant learning to draw from there. Here is a write-up I found: https://oi-files-d8-prod.s3.eu-west-2.amazonaws.com/s3fs-public/file_attachments/dp-trash-talk-zaatari-recycling-210817-en.pdf If it's of interest I may be able to track down some Oxfamers who were/are directly involved.

Best,

Emily

Hello all
One of NRC's teams wants to MBP-ise a traditional direct recycling project in schools. Does anyone have any case studies, tips, dim and distant memories of having done this well (or badly!) that they'd like to share? How did you assess, support and connect the local recycling sector to the needs of schools? Did you need to get any rules changed on the way?
Thanks in advance!
Roger
