Hi all. Apologies, looks like the Dgroup email system had a glitch just as I was announcing our transition away. Here's the original announcement in case it didn't reach you before...

Dear friends

After 13 years on the dgroup platform, the time has come for the Markets in Crises Community of Practice to make a change. Next month we will migrate to Discourse. More info and a signup invitation will follow in the coming weeks - there is nothing for you to do now.

The reasons for this are to offer us a richer, more flexible and more modern feature set, while ensuring long term stability for the community. We know that 'MiC by email' fits the workflow of many of us, and Discourse was chosen partly because, while the web interface is cool, it allows users to engage by email only if they choose. Don't worry, it's not TikTok.

Discourse is a paid platform, and we are thankful for the generous support of USAID/BHA in this move.

More soon. Best wishes
Roger

Dear all

We are almost ready to switch the MiC Community to our shiny new Discourse
platform! Next week, probably on Monday 6th March, you will receive
invitation emails to sign up to the new forum (we can't switch you
automatically as it requires your consent, of course). Remember to check
your junk mail folder.

While the Dgroup site will remain visible for the foreseeable future as an
archive, all new activity will be on Discourse. Below is what you will see
when you arrive - the MiC Advisory Committee is having fun making it feel
like home, but early posts from you are hugely important. So please in
preparation -

1. Look out a nice profile image - they really help us feel connected
2. If you have been thinking about a post to the community (or even if you
haven't!), consider making your mark on the new platform next week with a
question, a report, a polite rant or even just re-sharing a favourite
resource

More soon. Best wishes
Roger
