Market Development Facility (Phase 1) annual aggregation of results for January - December 2014.

The Market Development Facility (MDF) is DFAT Australia’s flagship private sector development programme in the Indo-Pacific region.

It started operations in 2011 in Fiji, and has since expanded to Timor-Leste (2012), Pakistan (2013), and Sri Lanka and Papua New Guinea in 2015.

Intervention description

The Market Development Facility (MDF), through the MSD approach, is making innovative efforts to engage the private sector in the promotion of inclusive growth and poverty reduction for women and men.

The report looks at MDF's work in 2014, highlighting the key lessons learnt and projected impact from interventions.

Evidence methodology

The report is prepared using data that has been aggregated from all MDF interventions in different countries.

The results measurement system of four out of five countries have been audited against the DCED Standard of Results Measurement.
