SuNMaP's purpose was to reach the general population, especially the poorest and most vulnerable, with evidence‐based interventions that would help control malaria and reduce the malaria burden.
Intervention description
The Support to National Malaria Programme (SuNMaP) in Nigeria supports government malaria control efforts by providing technical assistance for building the National Malaria Elimination Programme (NMEP) and State Malaria Elimination Programmes (SMEPs). This included building capacity of local government areas (LGAs) in service delivery and health programme management.
This is the final report covering the programme's work from 2008 to 2016.
Evidence methodology
The report relies on secondary research and only presents the potential for MSD.
