This learning brief presents some of the key lessons learned in delivering DFID’s Private Sector Developemnt (PSD) programme in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). 

It draws on case studies of current PSD programmes in DRC. It reflects on the complexity of working within Fragile and Conflict-Affected States (FCAS) and the need for flexibility, long-term goals, short-term milestones and flexible contracts.
