The Global Learning for Adaptive Management initiative (GLAM) is a globally networked learning alliance that aims to actively identify, operationalise and promote rigorous evidence-based approaches to adaptive management.

GLAM aims to help catalyse the wider uptake of adaptive management principles and practices. It will:

  • provide tailored guidance and practical support to practitioners and policy-makers of adaptive management
  • generate quality evidence and learning about effective monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) for adaptive management (AM) - MEL4AM
  • act as a catalyst, champion and convenor to change thinking and practice

Background
This is a four year initiative (August 2018 to August 2022) funded by the Department for International Development (DFID) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

It is a consortium led by the Overseas Development Institute (ODI), with the Institute of Development Studies of the University of Sussex (IDS), Oxfam, International Rescue Committee (IRC), Oxford Policy Management (OPM), Social Impact and ThoughtWorks.
