By the end of its initial six-year term 2012–2017, Propcom Mai-karfi had raised the incomes of 665,000 poor rural people across northern Nigeria. This was achieved by engaging with private-sector companies, state and federal governments, community-based organisations and a variety of other motivated partners.
This report shares lessons learnt from six years of experimentation and implementation in the challenging, unpredictable, but vitally important rural markets in northern Nigeria. It is presented with Propcom's next phase in mind.
It details 'ten big lessons' from this phase of the programme.
