PMDP stimulates a more competitive Palestinian private sector by encouraging companies to grow and export, tackling systemic market constraints and fostering an improved trade and investment environment.

While PMDP works with businesses across sectors, its MSD component focuses on IT services, agriculture and tourism.

Through a combination of technical facilitation, results-based grants and partnerships, PMDP works to introduce innovative business models and improved practices to companies and institutions, in the process generating income and employment.

Intervention description

PMDP carried out activities to mitigate the risks associated with business development in a fragile context (e.g. matching grants and technical assistance), addressing market failures and strengthening trade and investment. This is the final report produced by the PMDP team.

Evidence methodology

Mixed methods and tools.

The programme used 39 indicators, of which 14 were disagregated by gender, age, location, etc.

Since PMDP’s Logframe gives special attention to gender, PMDP evaluated its gender mainstreaming using the OECD-DAC Gender Equality Policy Marker.
