Summary of key findings and lessons learned from iDE’s monitoring and evaluation from the first half of the SMSU3 programme, July 2018 to December 2020. 

It includes analysis of sales trends and key customer behaviours such as purchase, installation and satisfaction. It also looks at how SMSU is contributing to changes in sanitation coverage over time, including lessons around pushing for open defecation -free status and ensuring access to safely managed sanitation. From there, it examines what these results mean for key programme stakeholders.
