In the inception phase for the Market and Employment Project (MEP) in Pakistan, discussions were carried out with the district agricultural experts to identify the most feasible agriculture value chains and devise a comprehensive strategy for the prioritised value chains in the district Charsadda.
Tomato and strawberry subsectors were selected by the project for detailed subsector assessments and development of a future road map.
This report aims to:
- document and share the results of introduced technologies in strawberry crop production in comparison with the routine practices of strawberry farmers in project target areas of district Charsadda
- develop future strategy for up-scaling of technologies in the project target areas
- generate marketing and employment opportunities/activities in the target area
