The Sanitation Marketing Scale Up (SMSU), has facilitated the sale of over 300,000 improved latrines through iDE-connected enterprises, reaching over 1.5 million people.

This study provides evidence that sanitation marketing can be an effective way to increase improved latrine coverage and that iDE’s programme contributed to a decrease in diarrhoea prevalence in programme areas.
