This study measures the impact of Rice And Diversified Crops Activity (RDC) interventions on women's empowerment in agriculture.
It also covers Covid-19 induced economic distress which added to existing problems such as lack of access to finance, non-tailored financial products, absence of capacity development, poor market linkage, absence of skilled labour, and lack of export markets.
The study concludes that RDC had significant impacts in empowering women involved with RDC. However it identifies their lack of digital literacy and access to finance which in turn could increase their access to agri-mechanisation, reducing their workload and increasing productivity.
