The study focuses on the following objectives:

  • To systematise the existing shrimp-rice farming models in the Mekong Delta, focusing on three project provinces of Soc Trang, Bac Lieu and Ca Mau
  • To analyse the economic, social and environmental benefits, and the suitability, replicability and climate resilience of the shrimp-rice farming models
  • To provide recommendations on improving and replicating the shrimp-rice farming models in the Mekong Delta

The research was conducted using the mixed-methods approach, including the value chain approach, multi-stakeholder approach and climate-smart agriculture (CSA).
