This ‘how-to’ note expands on the ILO’s guide on Value Chain Development for Decent Work by providing guidance for programmes to put in place a practical framework to measure, monitor and report on changes in job quality linked to programme activities.

The guidance outlines a simple, five-step process designed to help programmes navigate ‘how’ to measure job quality – but not prescribing ‘what’ to measure in terms of specific indicators.

Useful for:

Advanced practitioners that are designing and delivering value chain projects and navigating tricky issues where it has proved difficult to move from ‘theory’ to ‘practice'.
