This report serves as a sector selection study for the Market System Approach for Decent Work in Ukraine project by the ILO.
It assesses potential in seven economic sectors in Ukraine to support the project to narrow its implementation focus into high potential sectors. These sectors were assessed through the review of secondary data and primary research and against three key criteria: relevance, opportunity and feasibility.
Based on this analysis, the project prioritised three sectors for implementation
- construction
- preschool education and childcare
- e-commerce
The objective is to provide the analytical foundation for the targeted design of a larger implementation phase intended to support economic recovery in Ukraine and create more productive and decent jobs for the vulnerable during the country’s reconstruction.
