A market systems analysis of employment opportunities for women in digital in Kosovo

Exploratory study to identify opportunities to improve access to decent jobs for female workers in Kosovo, and to what extent a market system analysis can contribute.

It focuses on the cybersecurity services market, highlighted as a key strategic area by the government.

Different intervention areas are identified that may increase the dynamism of the sector and its potential to facilitate access to employment for women. These include:

• an emerging local market provides opportunities to develop public-private partnerships, offering fertile grounds for start-ups
• the development of training of highly qualified staff 
• the opportunity to tap into an increasing female labour force, providing the women economic empowerment agenda can be further implemented
• addressing aspects of labour law, most especially in the provision of maternity pay
