This outcome harvesting report focuses uniquely on the Information Technology (IT) sector.
With the growth of employees in the IT sector in Bosnia and Herzogovina, MarketMakers’ strategy was to focus on reducing the skills gaps and structural imbalances with regards to the provision of skilled labour in the sector.
The report idenitifies that MarketMakers has contributed to a number of outcomes - working with a wide range of actors in the public and private sectors.
MarketMakers contributed to changes in the following areas:
- The way companies in the IT sector collaborate and how the sector is coordinated and represented by an industry body
- Interest in the sector by the Government (particularly of the Canton Sarajevo)
- How skills development is delivered by private and public training providers
- How young people are guided towards a career in IT
