The key challenge in monitoring and results measurement (MRM) is ensuring that it is fully integrated with programme management. A MRM manual provides staff with written guidance on why and how the MRM system works and their roles within it.

This guidance note provides an annotated outline of a programme-specific MRM manual illustrated with examples from actual programmes. The note will provide readers with a good understanding and practical examples of what to include in a program-specific MRM manual. Annexed to the guidance note are full MRM manuals from various programmes.

Useful for:

Programme teams looking for real-life examples of how to develop a monitoring manual, following the steps set out in the DCED Standard.
