Improving national statistics in Kosovo

How the PPSE project helped the government improve data collection for the tourism sector

In Kosovo’s tourism sector the availability of accurate national statistics and capable national bodies charged with collecting it, is problematic. This case study describes why and how the Promoting Private Sector Employment (PPSE) programme in Kosovo assessed the information gap and formed a partnership with relevant public stakeholders to develop a sustainable system to collect statistical information. The data can then be used by public and private actors to inform policy and business development.
