Hopewell Zheke is the Head of Sustainable Agriculture and Livelihoods in Practical Action Southern Africa. He is an agriculture markets systems development specialist with close to ten years of experience in value chain and livelihoods development. Most of his experience is in agriculture based value chains (horticulture, livestock and other field crops). He has been working with Practical Action since March 2011 and has experience in using the participatory markets system development (PMSD) approach. He has delivered a number of PMSD and market linkages training to a number of organisations in Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique, Kenya and Ghana. Hopewell also has experience in using participatory extension approaches to train Government and other development partners. Before joining Practical action Hopewell worked for Catholic Relief Services for ten years managing livelihood development projects that included strengthening input supply systems, market linkages, enterprise development through value chains and business service markets. He holds a Masters in Development Studies, BSc Agriculture Honours Degree, Post-Grad in Project Planning and Management, Certificate in Enterprise Development through value chain and Business Service Markets
