I have more than 18 years of professional work experience for international aid projects in various fields of Private Sector and Inclusive Market Development, Financial Inclusion (including cooperative finance), Regional Planning and Rural Development including Value Chain and Trade Promotion, Organizational Building and Good Governance. Southeast Asia became my home base and main work environment where I gained a broad and in-depth knowledge of culture and history, politics and economy of countries in the Greater Mekong Delta. My assignments brought me to urban and rural areas across Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia and Myanmar while working with international organizations and donors, such as the Canada, EU, UN-IFAD, Switzerland, Germany and Luxembourg. I continue my legacy in Southeast Asia with my current position as Field Project Director in Hanoi, Vietnam to manage a Canada funded project (18 million CAN$). I held numerous senior management positions to coordinate and implement complex ODA-funded international projects. Tasks include the M4P and Market Systems Development approach, HR, Monitoring and Result Management, including Result Chains, and Project Cycle Management. As a person, I am a highly motivated with strong coaching and inter-personal skills with broad multi-cultural awareness, excellent organizational and (team)leadership skills for domestic and international environments. Living and working abroad in less developed countries contributes to a deeper cross-cultural understanding of the everyday challenges faced in the Global South. Change of any kind starts with small steps, and it is rewarding to work in a supportive environment with a dedicated team of local and international specialists.
