Case study on EcoVecindarios' work in managing used vegetable oil in Cochabamba and La Paz in Bolivia.
The programme identified a transnational company specialised in the collection and pre-treatment of oil to make biodiesel for renewable energy. This company then worked together with the Secretariat of Municipal Environmental Management of La Paz to develop collection and recycling in the city.
EcoVecindarios is a private sector, integrated solid waste management project supported by the Swiss Foundation for Technical Cooperation (Swisscontact).
