This manual is meant as a toolbox for practitioners and programme designers interested in diagnostic and action research for gender sensitive and socially inclusive climate change programmes in the rural development context.

It is broader than MSD, but the frameworks and guidance included therein is highly relevant to the MSD community.

It is meant to be an easy to use manual, increasing the research capacity, skills and knowledge of its users. Each chapter features a bundle of research tools intended to be used sequentially with the first focused on basic concepts, learning activities and planning and logistics related to undertaking research. The latter chapters feature detail on research models related to climate resilient agriculture, co-producing local knowledge as well as climate information services.
