This evidence review exercise aimed to collate and synthesise evidence relevant to IRiS' six programme result areas and two objectives in order to support programming decisions and build an evidence base for the selected interventions.

The review had two phases:

  1. Focusing on documents only from programmes in Somalia
  2. Including evidence from other countries in East Africa

The review covers a large number of projects and studies that point to directions IRiS could take to achieve its objectives and help inform rollout of the interventions. It also identifies some gaps in the evidence.

The Inclusive Resilience in Somalia (IRiS) Activity
IRiS aims to accelerate economic development for marginalised groups by increasing individual, household, business, community, and system-wide resilience through rural and urban livelihood diversification and promoting inclusive economic market systems.
