Adrienne Gifford is Vice President of the Initiative for Global Development (IGD), a non-profit headquartered in Washington, D.C. As the head of the organisation’s advisory services, Ms Gifford draws from nearly 15 years of private sector consulting experience to advise IGD’s private sector companies and other partners on market-systems based solutions. Over the last two years, Ms. Gifford has advised corporations and organisations including Chevron Corporation’s Niger Delta Partnership Initiative (NDPI) foundation, ContourGlobal, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the William Davidson Institute, and the Rockefeller Foundation.

Prior to joining IGD, Ms Gifford led numerous engagements and business units at leading consulting firms including Booz Allen Hamilton’s Economic and Business Analysis team (now Analytics). She also provided pro-bono advice to numerous development organisations and social enterprises including the United Nations Foundation Global Alliance of Clean Cookstoves, Yunus Social Business Colombia, the U.S.-Mexico Foundation, and World Vision International.
